Why subscribe to James’ newsletter?
Because a lot of cool people do — hopefully, that’s about to include you (unless you’re already a subscriber reading this, which is even better) — and because it will make you a more informed investor.
Who is James?
James loves to explain finance even more than he likes finance. And much more than he likes writing about himself in third person, which is weird.
James began his investing career as an analyst at a long/short equity hedge fund before becoming the Director of Research & Analysis at The Motley Fool, where he also ran the Motley Fool Income Investor newsletter — likely the largest dividend newsletter in the world at the time. He also picked dividend stocks for Motley Fool Share Advisor in the UK.
James’ equity products beat the market for all 10 years that he ran them. There aren’t many fund managers or research publishers who can say that.
James spent 10 years doing cross-border business with China, and was CEO of Stansberry China most recently. He has been interviewed or profiled hundreds of times in Chinese media and, prior to his China dabble, by CNN, BBC, CNBC, Fox, PBS, National Public Radio, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The Washington Post, and many others.
But, really, this stuff does’t directly matter to readers. What does is the quality of his content, and how much you enjoy it. James hopes you enjoy it, and welcomes your feedback.
